Friday Night Paint
An ongoing painting class for adults.
Have you always wanted to paint but not sure where to begin? Don't worry about it! I've got an action plan to get you started.
Friday Night Paint is a recreational painting class in a relaxed group setting. I am available to help you create a game plan for a painting, usually from a photo reference. Then as you are working through the painting process, I can offer insights and critique. When there is a larger group, we sometimes do a group critique. The way you will best learn is to paint but I am definitely here for support.
Students new to painting or those who want to brush up on the basics can expect the following:
1) An initial complementary meeting so you can see the space and we can talk about paint mediums (oil or acrylic) and art supplies. It would be great to see some of your previous work if you have some.
2) Get art supplies before the next week, see recommended list below.
3) Over the next few weeks, I will lead you through a series of exercises and projects designed to increase your comfort in working with paints and give you a foundation based on the principles of art.
4) After completing these exercises, you would work on your own individual paintings as described above.
When: Every Friday Night
Time: 7pm - 10pm
Where: Patty's in-home Art Studio
Cost: $85 for 4 weeks or $25 drop-in fee.
